The Local Initiatives Program is a powerful tool for community groups and municipalities to make great things happen in their community that otherwise wouldn't be possible.  This innovative program supports (with up to $5,000) local or regional projects which benefit the local economy and are important to the economic development plan for the area, particularly those which help communities adapt to the global, knowledge-based economy.  See our featured projects from this year to learn about more about what great things are possible in your community!

Don't forget if you are approved for a LIP grant, you must place the FedNor, Canada and LAMBAC logos on any promotional material you create for your project or event.  You can find these logos on our Downloads page.

How do I apply?

  1. Read through the information on this page to see if a LIP grant might work for you and your group.

  2. Call LAMBAC to discuss your project or event idea so we can confirm your eligibility and let you know by what date your application must be submitted in order to be considered at LAMBAC's next monthly Board of Directors meeting.

  3. Download and fill in the application form below and submit it to LAMBAC by mail, fax, email or simply dropping it off to our office.
